The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6" business laptop for more demanding users - heavy multitasking, many applications at once, virtual machines, larger spreadsheets and workflows with dozens of browser tabs. The Intel Core i7-1185G7 with vPro, paired with 32 GB of RAM in dual-channel (2×16 GB), gives noticeably more headroom for parallel work, and the dual-channel configuration also improves integrated-graphics performance. The vPro platform allows centralised IT management in a corporate environment. The larger 15.6" format gives room to work across several windows at once, and the machine is built to last. Both DDR4 memory slots are already populated with 32 GB, but for storage the model has two M.2 NVMe slots (one with PCIe Gen 4 support), allowing a second drive or an upgrade without replacing the whole device. The bottom panel comes off with just a few screws. Connectivity is one of the 5520's standout traits. It offers two Thunderbolt 4 ports (with video output, high-speed data and charging), two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.0, an RJ-45 Ethernet jack and a microSD card reader - a combination that in most cases removes the need for dongles or a dock. Wireless is handled by Wi-Fi 6. Security is built to corporate standards - an embedded TPM 2.0 chip, a fingerprint reader, options for additional biometric authentication, and a physical camera privacy shutter. The chassis incorporates recycled bioplastics, fitting the idea of devices given a longer working life. The touchscreen adds convenience for touch navigation. The 15.6" IPS display at 300 nits is comfortable for extended indoor work. Despite the extra memory, this is not a machine for professional colour work, nor for 3D rendering or gaming — its integrated Iris Xe graphics are aimed at productivity and light creative tasks. With 32 GB of RAM, the Latitude 5520 is especially well suited to users with heavy office workloads and light development or virtualisation tasks, combining dependable performance, generous connectivity and enterprise-grade security.
